Hiriko EV "The Fold Car"



BRUSSELS - The growth of the automotive world that continues to rise makes a company engaged in the automotive field to rack their brain to make a car that can be folded.

As reported by autoblog, Friday (01/27/2012) there is a folding car, dubbed the EV Hiriko. Featured car of the Brussels, Belgium is able to accommodate only one passenger.

This electric-powered cars equipped with special suspension is unique because it allows the vehicle to fold and rotate it vertically so that the cabin can park in the narrow land.

The creators claim Hiriko EV takes only approximately one third of the parking lot that used Smart ForTwo. Practical vehicle is planned to start production next year in Spain.

Hiriko EV was born thanks to a collaboration group of Basque businessmen, the Spanish government and the MIT Media Lab. To date 20 units Hiriko EV has been built to conduct the testing process. One unit EV Hiriko a cost of U.S. $ 16,253.
